We provide fully customizable programs to students in grades K - 12 at their own schools. Our programs are available either during school hours or as an after-school program. While all of our programs have dance as a main focus, we are able to incorporate additional enrichment options, such as music, yoga, or health and fitness. Our new Blended Learning program combines the kinesthetic arts of dance and technology to create a wonderful experience for students of all ages. Please note that we are willing to work with you to customize a program that will meet the needs of your school, even if that program is not described below.
Program rates vary depending on the number of classes per week, the number of students in each class, the number of days per week that the class will be run, and the variety of activities that will occur in the class. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like more information regarding pricing for our programs.
In our dance program, students learn movement vocabulary, dance technique, and original choreography. Students in our dance program usually have class once or twice per week for 1 hour. Classes will include team-building and reflection activities, stretching, dance technique, and choreography. Students may focus on a specific style of dance for an entire year or the style of dance can change every few weeks. We generally offer Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Latin, and Tap dance. Styles such as African, Modern, Break Dance, Baile Folklórico, and Bachata may be available at certain schools, depending on the dance background and availability of our teaching artists.
Our blended learning program is a popular option for boys and girls of all ages because it allows students to learn about dance as well as technical management and production. In this program, students not only learn about the art of dance, but are also exposed to audio and video recording and editing methods, technical set up and production techniques, and the latest Internet technologies.
General After-School Program
Our general after school program runs after school for 2 to 3 hours per day on 4 to 5 days per week. This is a great option for schools who are seeking both an enrichment program and after-school care for their students. While the schedule may vary slightly at each school, students usually receive 15 minutes of snack (provided by Dance Daze in Schools) immediately after school, followed by a 1-hour enrichment class (e.g., dance, media arts, visual arts, music, etc.). There is then another 15-minute break, followed by 1 hour of assisted homework time.
